Unable to open buffer file when backuping Sybase DB

						--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi, every one:
When I executed one Sybase DB backup session which has 22 databases to backup totally, I found one individual database backup failed and the error message was
[CSSPROD:dbsaspp1] Unable to open buffer file
[CSSPROD:dbsaspp1] Sybase backup failed
Could you tell me the detailed info about this error message? And how can I find more details about such kind of error messages?
Any advise will be greatly appreciated.
Rgds.

Problem Description:
New installation. Attempts to run isql produces error: unable to open buffer file and returns user to unix prompt. Can access the server from via SQL Advantage, SYBASE CENTRAL.
Tip or Workaround:
Resolution:
Permissions on /tmp directory set as "755". Reset to "777" (read/write/execute for all logins). On unix platforms, isql, version 11.1 or greater, creates a file of the name /tmp/ctisql_####, where '####' is the last 4 characters of the process id of the user initiating the session.

						Hi,Steve:
Thanks very much for your sincere help.
But I did the backpup using the OmniBack so I am afraid the buffer file is used by OmniBack to exchange data with tape driver.
Best Rgds.
