Unable to open SAM

Hi,

I am using HP-UX B.10.20 model G60.

I am facing a strange problem. Today I installed few pacthes viz. PHCO_22268, PHCO_10947, PHNE_22352. After installation rebooted system. But unable to start SAM it is exiting withsome internal error and when I gone through /var/sam/log/samlog I found following errors:

Can anyone help me in this regard.

Hi,

Try running swconfig...
swconfig \*.

Thank you very much Shiju and Vijay for quick and good responses.... It solved my problem by running "swconfig \*" ....

Can you tell me, why this happened?... Is it due to some patches r not configured?... can u please revert.

Hello Satish,


That Error usually shows filesets are not configured corresponding to the patches you installed
You can find this by running

swlist -a state -l fileset

Satish,

Normally after the patch installation, if some of the file sets are not configured with respect to the applied software, it will end up giving error.

'swverify' will check for these errors and file set status.
