Unable to print as normal user

When using the lp command to print, we get the following:

lp: HPDPS error (Cannot determine the local IP address.)
lp: destination "" non-existent

This does not occur for the root user

Running the command 'nslookup ' shows the hostname and the correct IP address

Permissions on the /etc/hosts file were set to rw-------

I changed them to rw-r--r-- and now everyone can print
