I want to RCP this the tar.Z of 9 hundred something.KB. I've editted the .rhosts and /etc/hosts file. One of the server in our DR site and another one is in HQ. About 20 KM away.

SolutionPossibilities:
1) No network connectivity.
2) inetd needs to be restarted at the other end.
3) Connection is so slow the connection times out.
4) Something I can't think of at 7:20 a.m.
All of these issues require some kind of investigation. If 1 is not the case then you might be able to rlogin and check out 2, maybe see what the logs say at the other end.
