unable to reduce the opt fs size

freshly installing hp unix os..
while setting uo the fs layout...when i am trying to fix opt fs size as 6.5 Gb the system says...the software installed in the fs need more space ..so fixing the size as 16 G

how to forcible set the opt size as 6.5G

Hi Masood,

/opt is fully application/software dependency,Please check with Application vendor.
Did you check after installed OS,/opt used space and available space?

If the installation thinks that you need 16GB for /opt, then it will NOT let you set it to 6.5 GB. It would not have enough room to successfully complete the installation.

Why do you want to override if it says it needs more than the 6.5 GB you want to give it?

Actually that was looking at the older image I have and that is the reason.
Now it is solved anyways
