I have just converted one of my N-class server from a FC-AL directly connect to an EMC 3930. We are trying to convert it to SAN attached through an EMC connectrix. The guys from EMC have in and done all the zoning and stuff but we cannot see the disks. We have a Tachyon A5158A controller. I have loaded the B.11.00.10 patch for the A5158A tachyon controller. Is there anything else that I can look at? Thanks.

Re: Unable to see devices through SAN
Other thing is that make sure your tachyon driver is CLAIMED when you run ioscan -fn.
If you are still unable to see your drives, then may be EMC engineer can help you out.

Re: Unable to see devices through SAN
After making sure you have connections to
your SAN, and you can see the WWN from
your switch, conceivably you should also
see your disks. A lot of the time you *will*
need to run 'ioscan-fn' to query the LUN's
that have been set up. Once you can see the
LUN's in your ioscan output, all you should
need to do is:
# cd /dev
# insf -e

Re: Unable to see devices through SAN
You also said EMC has done the zoning which is of course needed but what about SDDR and Volume Logix? If this is a new EMC, has the volume logix database been created? Has vcmfind been ran on all the hosts?
Also after giving access to a HPA in Volume Logix did someone activate the new configuration and run the task?
