Then I click OK the message is displayed "Unable to setup the client directory for the system 'hostname' "
Would you help please,

Re: Unable to setup the client directory for the system
You may need to do a 10.20 client from the client side.
If instl_adm -T shows no problems in your configuration files
boot the 10.20 box from the console
interupt at the 10 second prompt
bo lan.ip_address_of_server install
ex
boot lan.192.168.0.30 install
You must boot via the built in lan card. The transfer can go on a faster card.

Re: Unable to setup the client directory for the system
Yes, and then you need to see if you have correct entry for 10.2 client in /etc/bootptab or instl_boottab whatever you are using.
Then as already suggested check instl_adm configuration is correct.
It should show proper IG server Ip add, Gateways, Subnet mask,etc.
Sample Client entry i have in my boottab is as:
hostname:\
ht=ethernet:\
ha=:\
ip=:\
hn:\
bf=/opt/ignite/boot/nbp.efi:\
sm=255.255.254.0
And then try booting thr' lan inertace of 10.2 cleint machine. Halt at PDC prompt and
Main Menu> bo lan. install
Hope this helps

Re: Unable to setup the client directory for the system
Hi Jennifer,
You need to download and install the 10.20 version filesets too on your ignite server.
http://www.software.hp.com/products/IUX/download.html
This specific fileset from the 10.20 depot should help,
Ignite-UX.FILE-SRV-10-20
Hope this helps.
