Unable to use ftp
Hi all,
I am facing problem to do ftp to local machine or server. In server I have checked /etc/ftpd/ftpusers file. There is no single entry in that file.As per requirement ftp for users should be enabled, when there is no entry for that user in /etc/ftpd/ftpusers.
Everthing seems to be fine, problem is miscellaneous.
model of server is rp3410
OS - HP-UX version 11.11
Thanks
Trupti M.

Re: Unable to use ftp
Trupti, problem seems to be a little bit wide open right now.
could you please check the logs to see what is the error you are getting when you tried to log in with ftp.
I am assuming everything else is fine, you can telnet the server, you can ping the server, etc.
Regards,
jaime.

Work hard when the need comes out.

Re: Unable to use ftp
Make sure that your users shell has an entry in /etc/shells. This can keep you from getting logged in.
