Unable to view logs of tape
Hi All,
I have taken a full backup through fbackup at sunday night at that time it showed backup completed successfully but when i am running
frecover -I /tmp/frecover.txt -v -f /dev/rmt/7mnb- it shows unable to open tape.
So, please tell me what to do this tape contains a very critical backup and i have to view its log which is in the tape
please reply ASAP

Are you using the correct tape drive ?? Have you tried read/write on a different tape media on the same drive ??
There is a possibility that there is some problem with the drive.

Hi tayal sumit,
Use the following command to list the tape drives-
#ioscan -fnC tape
What ioscan output is showing, CLAIMED or not ? If it is not CLAIMED do the driver settings to correct the problem.
