Unable to warm boot J2240

I justupgraded a J2240 to 11.0 and also upgraded the firmware to 2.1. The problem is on a cold boot the system will search and find the bootable device and come up. When you Reboot the system with either the /etc/reboot or shutdown -r the system continues to search for the boot device and cannot locate.
Any ideas of what is going on?

Re: Unable to warm boot J2240

What type of errors do you get?

What happens if you interrupt the boot process and do a SEA at the ISL prompt?

Any messages in /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log about problems with the disk drive?

This isn't much to go on, but I'd lean towards a problem with the disk drive.

Can escape and do a search at console menu and boot. Did not see any error messages.

Re: Unable to warm boot J2240

For the first step, try to boot in single user mode.

Check the message in /var/adm/syslog.log and
check the /etc/bootconf file.

You can check the /etc/shutdown.log file.
