Undo Tablespace VS Rollback Segment

Hi there!
With the advent of oracle9i, undo tablespace is more useful and efficient rather than using rollback segment with less maintenance.
If undo tablespace is most oftenly used object in oracle9i then why Oracle does not desupport the rollback segment features.

Hello,

well, may be it will be desupported in later releases. Think of the rule-based optimizer. It took quite some time to age this one out.
It is allways good to have some old fashioned stuff to fall back (just in case...)
