unix--winNt with xvision
Hi all,
Situation:
Unix 10.20 and winNT4 w/s
Nt is running VUV (viewer) and XVISION SERVER
- I can access thought VT420 EMULATOR, FTP to Unix???
- I can???t access with Unix neighborhood, actually I get home directory but I cannot see any file or as root any others directory.
If I use xvision server I cannot get display from NT to Unix
Error is:
Cannot open remote directory on host ???genesis??? Invalid argument 500 port command Failure.
or
Cannot open display 102.102.102.29
Any help will be appreciated

Hi Goran,
since XDMCP uses UDP I have to ask: is there a firewall in between your UN*X box and your Windows PC?
And does your Windows PC's X-server provide the needed fonts (fixed, variable, cursor, ...)?
For the first you may have to drill a hole through your firewall or *tunnel* XDMCP (and, later, X11 itself) through something like "ssh".
