unsynchronized client clock detected
This has come up in the Legato report when my server is backed up. Not sure why my clock would not be unsynchronized now. It was set up with an NTP Client. Do I need to start/stop the daemon? I noted that I don't have many of the NTP files as stated in the HP Certified textbook. Can anyone shed some light on why I am getting this error mes:
/tmp Warning: unsynchronized client clock detected.
Note...this is in regards only to the /tmp file and not the other system files. Why or what should I check?
Thanks!

Re: unsynchronized client clock detected
do this at the commandline:
grep -v "^#" /etc/ntp.conf
and see what's been enabled in the setup beyond pointing to your site's ntp server.

Re: unsynchronized client clock detected
James,
I had the same messages in my Backup notification mail ( I use Legato Networker 5.x.x). This is not an error, but a warning message. This indicates there is a time difference between the Networker server and at least one Networker client.

HTH,

Re: unsynchronized client clock detected
The message simply means your server & at least 1 client doesn't agree on the current time.
