unzip - need PK compat. v4.5 (can do v2.1)

unzip - need PK compat. v4.5 (can do v2.1)

Hi!

I want to unzip one file with size 1 GB using unzip command. but i get this messages
"need PK compat. v4.5 (can do v2.1)" .
What is the problem?
I uncopress one file of 5 MB with unzip command succesfully

Zip and unzip aren't those used on Solaris? I usually use gzip/gunzip on HP-UX. Where did the file come from, quite possibly a different version of zip was used and your's is older.

i did the .zip files undw windows, usin Winzip. I installed unzip on HP-UX but i get this messages just with large files.

Hi Edwin,

To get the newest ver of pkzip/unzip you have to go register - alabeit free - but still - go here:

http://www.pkware.com/downloads/software/evals/download.php?ISNEW=true&PLATFORM=unixsrv
