update-ux error

hi eveybody,
I'm trying to update a B1000 with hp-ux 10.20 to hp-ux 11i MTCOE. All the prerequisite are ok and a big part of the upgrade was ok. But when the system compile the kernel and try to load it an error is diplayed:

....
Loading the kernel
ld: I/O error; file "xport_diag.o"
Fatal error
...
...

Hi Alberto.

Please tell me you took a backup before you tried to use update-ux.

I think we've all been there - I tried to use update-ux and ended up restoring the system then doing a cold install. Reading these forums leads me to believe that update-ux never works.

Restore from tape then do a cold install.
