update-ux

I'm trying to upgrade a workstation from 11.0 to 11.i. The support docs say to use a command called update-ux. The problems is I can't find update-ux anywhere. Does anybody know were I can find this software.

Thank you,
Gerald

Re: update-ux

Run swinstall with 11.i CD.

Re: update-ux

When I do this I see different software bundles. I don't see the core OS. I must be missing something.

Thanks,

Re: update-ux

Here is a link to the "HP-UX 11i Installation and Update Guide": http://docs.hp.com/hpux/onlinedocs/B2355-90703/B2355-90703.html

There is a section in the manual called "Migrating to HP-UX 11i". This talks about all steps that need to be done. There is a subsection specifically on how to install the update-ux utility.

Here is an excerpt, though you probably need to look at the whole section.

Install update-ux:

Mount the CD "HP-UX 11i CD 1"

swinstall -r -s /cdrom SW-DIST.SD-UPDATE \ \@ /var/adm/sw/update-ux.root 2> /dev/null
