Hi
This is one of those questions I should know but don't. i have been tasked with upgrading a 10.01 system to 10.20 (yes I know I should go to 11.0 but the client wants 10.20 for now)
Not having done this before, the question I have relates to things like Mirror Disk and Jet Admin. Are these applications upgraded as part of the upgrade process, as I can't see this in the documentation, or do I need to install the 10.20 versions of each doing a match what target has ? Or do I not need to worry about them ?
Please could someone assist.
Many thanks

Re: Upgrade 10.01 to 10.20 applications
My first cut at this would be "why bother?" but the answer is that you need to do a swlist and then install the 10.20 versions of the software plus the cumulative patches (or the latest General Release Patch Set for 10.20). This also means that you will need to get new codewords for the software.
Chances are that the 10.01 to 10.20 upgrade is going to fail anyway so you will be better served by doing a cold install.
With 10.20 falling off support in 5 months, I can't see trading one obsolete version dfor another but I guess this is more billable hours for you.

If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Re: Upgrade 10.01 to 10.20 applications
Thanks very much for your help. I will get the codewords now.
The plan is to consolidate onto another 11.0 server within a month or so, but as you say more billable work ! (but also another weekend !!)
Thanks again
