Re: upgrade service guard from 11.15 to 11.16

obtain the SG A.11.16 software and relevant patch.
Halt one cluster node using cmhaltnode
swinstall the SG software and patch
cmrunnode to put it back in the cluster.
repeat for all other nodes.
I recommend that you read the Release NOtes first, and the Securing SG White Papers before doing this, available at http://docs.hp.com/en/ha

When you receive your Application CDs, the codewords that apply to your products will be shipped with the CDs. Each CD set has a different codeword set. You can also apply for your codeword online or by fax.

are you saying that A11.16 can be installed from the same cd/dvd with which i had installed the current version mc/sg- A11.15, i am running ?

No. Generally HP only ships one version of Serviceguard at a time.

Re: upgrade service guard from 11.15 to 11.16

Shalom avik,

We consider A.11.16 to be very stable. I'm in the process of doing this very upgrade by the methodology above.

There are some security enhancements so don't be surpised if your node has some issues connecting to the cluster.

There are minor changes requires to inetd.conf which are outlined in the user guide.
