Upgrade SG-SMS A.02.01 to A.03.00
Three node cluster.
Three HP rx3660 servers running HP-UX 11i v3.
SGeRAC is configured.
SG-SMS A.02.01 is installed and working.
To upgrade SG-SMS (serviceguard storage management suite)
Upgrade version A.02.01 to version A.03.00
What upgrade method will be followed. (Rolling or offline)?
I am using offline method as per HP documentation.
Below is the upgrade procedure as per my understanding.
1. Halt the cluster.
2. Access the/etc/rc.cofig.d/cmcluster file and set AUTOSTART_CMCLD to 0
3. First install the patch PHSS_41535 or patch bundle available online for SG-SMS upgrade.
4. Install SG-SMS from media of SG-SMS A.03.00 (T8697DB).
5. After upgrading on all three nodes upgrade the CFS protocol on CFS primary node using below commands.
# vxdctl upgrade
# vvxdg upgrade diskgroup
# vxupgrade mount_point
6. Access the/etc/rc.cofig.d/cmcluster file and set AUTOSTART_CMCLD to 1
7. Reboot the nodes.
Is this procedure is correct and practically good to follow?
Any suggestions in addition to the above procedure please?

Re: Upgrade SG-SMS A.02.01 to A.03.00
Thanks Stephen.
I have gone through the document and prepared the above SOP for upgrade. The pages you mentioned, descrine that instead of offline upgrade we can go for a rolling upgrade too. but the document also mention offline for the version am going to upgrade.
Now my concern is if there is any thing missing or incomplete in my procedure?
Please help.
