Upgrade to 11i

Hi

In order to upgrade our system to 11i from 11. I need to upgrade the Firmware version.

I downloaded the patches. When I try to install the patch as per instruction, I get the following error message.

Can some one tellme what am I Doing wrong?
The command I used to install patch is as follows:

swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x patch_match_target=true -s /tmp/PHSS_25685.depot

I get the following error message

That's the 11.11 version of the patch. Since you haven't upgraded yet, don't you need to apply the 11.0 version, PHSS_25684?

Hi Shanakr,

I prefer to download the actual PDC firmware, write it to tape, then boot that tape.
Heck, you have to reboot anyway - might as well use the time to install the firmware & the install actually reboots again for you.
I do all my Ks this way - works great.

Just pick CPU for type & pull down search type & choose browse - it'll show them all & you just pick the one you need.

When I selected PHSS_23446 for download, The Hp recomended patch suggestion was PHSS_25685.

After your e-mail, I down loaded the PHSS_23466, and I stll get the same problem.

Any Idea

PHSS_23446 is also for 11i. You need to download PHSS_25684.

Hi

I down loaded the PHSS_15684 and I was able to update the firmware.

After the patch install the current firmware revision is 41.39.

We have a HP 9000 L1000 series, running 11.0. Inorder to upgrade to 11i, according to 11i installation manual we need to have firmware version 40.48.

Now I looked at all the firmware patches available for 11.0, I could not find any patch that would update the firmware verion to the minimum firmware version level 40.48.

What can I do next?
