Upgrading 9.03 release

I recently required a second hand 712/60 HP system. It is currently running
HP/UX 9.03 and I want to upgrade to the latest 9.X release. I have a two user
licence for 9.0 and 10.2.

Is the upgrade to the latest 9.0X release going to cost money? If not, where
can I download it from, all I managed to find was individual patches for 9.03
(and there where literally hundreds of them!)

Re: Upgrading 9.03 release

I seem to recall HP offering a free upgrade from 9.X to 10.X. If you have a
license for 10.20 and have media (CD-ROMs or tapes), unless you've got data or
applications you need to keep, it's probably easier and faster to just reload
the system with 10.20 than worry about upgrading from 9.X

You will want to upgrade, however, as 9.X is not Y2K compliant nor will it be
made Y2K compliant. I don't believe HP is still supporting 9.X beyond
upgrading, either.

Check the Year 2000 Services from the Maintenance/Support section of the ITRC
website for more information on 9.X to 10.20 upgrades.
