Upgrading Jetadmin-Software - are there any problems?

I have to upgrade Jetadmin-Software on HP-UX 10.20 from version D.01.08 to the latest version D.06.21. This is a big jump and I want to be sure, that there are no problems occuring.
Does anyone have experiences on this topic?
Are there necessary preparations before or known errors during upgrading?

Ive had problems upgrading in such a big jump before. Make sure you have a good backup before you do it and good documentation on all your JetAdmin printers - just in case you have to reinstall/reconfigure them. In one case we decided it was easier to go back to the old version as upgrading to the new version screwed up all our printers (hence have a backup).

You will not encouter any problems on the upgrade. Your printers files in /etc/lp/interface will be renamed to *.old after the upgrade installation. The new Rev. D.o6.21 is more user friend with enhanced features.

I had to perform this upgrade. It didn't give me any trouble, but I would suggest going into SAM and saving your printer spool configuration. You can then take that file and restore from it if there is any trouble.

During one outage maintenence period we upgarded JetAdmin on 40 machines from a very old A series level without a hickup anywhere. JetAdmin software is maintained by the printer side of the HP house. In conversations that I've had with some of them it is clear that there is competition between them and the HPUX groups. As a result this software is very clean.
