Upgrading MC/SG
Hi,
We are using MC/SG of version 11.09 in our
HP 9000 L1000 servers having HP-UX 11.00.
Now we wanted to upgrade the MC/SG version.
I heard that the latest version available is 11.13.
Can anyone guide me for upgrading the same and
also I want additional details on Patch depenacies, supported OS version, etc.
Thanks and Regards.

Re: Upgrading MC/SG
The latest version available is SG 11.12. THe version 11.13 becomes probably available with the next application release, but this is not committed.
It is recommended for the majority of customersNOT to update from SG 11.09 to 11.12, since SG 11.09 is a platform release which will be patched until June 2002. SG 11.12 is a minor release and will not be patched once SG 11.13 is out. Please check out the release notes of SG 11.12 for details of the concept of platform, minor, major and feature release.

The SG update procedure is documented in the appendix E of the SG manual "Managing MC/ServiceGuard", Dec 2000, p.291.

You should contact the HP Response Center for a list of recommended patches. Lately Melvyn Burnard also posted the list of patches here in the ITRC Serviceguard forum.
