Upgrading PRM from C.02.03 to C.03.00

I'm running into a wall trying to upgrade PRM.
We have Enterprise OE 11.11 on our system.
We are running PRM version C.02.03 right now.
I want to upgrade it to C.03.00.
I've already loaded the C.01.03 version of the PRM-Sw-Krn.PRM-KRN fileset.
My problem is I can't find the B3835DA product on any of the May 2005 Applications CDs.
Am I looking in the wrong place? The most recent OE media I have is December 2004. Do I need a more recent OE disk to get version C.03.00?

I see the B3835DATRY trial product available for download. Has anyone successfully loaded that trial on top of their licensed version and not goofed up their licensing?

Re: Upgrading PRM from C.02.03 to C.03.00

Hello Andy. PRM C.03.00 did indeed go out as part of the May 2005 Application Release. From the information I found, it should be CD 4 of 5 for HP-UX 11i Version 1 (B.11.11) and HP-UX 11i Version 2 (B.11.23) had all bundles on same DVD media. PRM C.03.00 is also part of the Enterprise OE media for May 2005.

As for the PRM trial product, B3835DATRY, you can install it on the system and then install the licensed B3835DA product on top of it later. I believe you will still need your codeword to remove the software from the CD media, but other than that the products correctly handle going from the trial to purchased version. Because you already have the correct PRM-KRN fileset installed, there would not be any more reboots needed.

Hope this helps.

Re: Upgrading PRM from C.02.03 to C.03.00

Hi, Jonathan. Yes, it does help. Thanks.

I spoke with an HP software engineer and he said not to install the trial on top of the fully-licensed version we're already running.

Long story short, since we installed the PRM product from the OE disk we would need HP to generate a codeword for us to upgrade PRM from the May 2005 Apps CD. Another option, we can order newer OE disks and upgrade PRM from there.

I'll probably just have HP generate a codeword for the Apps CD since I already have it in-house.

Thanks for the reply.
