upgrading R380 to 64bit 11.0
I have a R380 that is currently running HPUX 11.0 32bit. When I try to install the HPUXEng64RT software, I get a memory fault and the swinstall coredumps. The R380 has 1 GB of memory. Can anyone tell me why the memory fault occurs and is there any way to fix it? Is this the correct way to upgrade to 64bit OS without rebuilding from scratch?

Re: upgrading R380 to 64bit 11.0
The proper migration is update/ux. But thats for upgrading the OS as well.
Have you considered 11i? That hardware CAN run it.
I recall reading another thread that said to go from 32 bits to 64 bits requires a cold install. Can't do that on the fly.

Thanks, Steve. That wasn't what I wanted to hear, but if you can't, you can't.
