Use short name instead of FQDN
Hi,
I am running NNM6.2 on Sun Platform. How can I have my alarms show the short name of my router instead of the FQDN. example
router1 instead of router1.company.com
Thanks in advance

Re: Use short name instead of FQDN
For this to work properly all machines involved must have /etc/hosts networking setup and /etc/nsswitch.conf must go to hosts, usually after dns entry for hostname resolution.
