User Account Error
User changed their account password and now will not let them login through telnet.
Symptoms:
.User can't login to L2000 through telnet on their computer
.I can telnet to L2000 on their computer using my account
.Both accounts have same permissions and .profile information
Related info
.Secure Net Term will let user login through own account
.Account has special characters where as my account does not
Tried following:
.Recreated Account

Is the system trusted ?
What special characters does the account has ? and where are they ? In the username or in the directories ?
what is the error message user is getting when he/she tries to login ?

Sorry for the delay I never received any e-mails when you responded even though I checked the box.
Anyway the AKL2000 is not trusted. We narrowed the problem down to the following.
. special characters @ and # can't be used

Yeah, that would make sense. From the man page for "passwd":
WARNINGS
Avoid password characters which have special meaning to the tty driver, such as # (erase) and @ (kill). You may not be able to login with these characters.
