User cannot loead .profile

Help me I have a problem, I have a HPUX 11,23 system the sap user cannot load .profile file, what can I do?

execte the .profile manually and see what it complaints.

You may have to add a "set -x" there to see where the error starts.

I assume the file has the right permission?
