User SAMBA shares offline
We have had SAMBA shares working for some time now. Suddenly users are complaining of not being able to get to their SAMBA shares. Windows says resource not available. Looking in the SAMBA log files, these errors are coming up:
[2005/04/19 13:59:28, 0] smbd/password.c:(1282)
connect_to_domain_password_server: unable to connect to SMB server on machine BERKY. Error was : SUCCESS - 0
We had just installed Windows 2003 Server SP1 and I thought it was related. We ununstalled it but that fixed nothing. Any ideas?

I had similar errors when building this in test (these were viewed in the log files though)
I did a google search on
smbd/password.c:(1282)
connect_to_domain_password_server: unable to connect to SMB server on machine BERKY
and found lots of different solutiions but follow the below link and let me know how you get on:
