Using IgniteUX to build DR server
I have an HPUX 11iv2 Itanium2 server which is to serve as a DR machine for a (nearly identical) live server. I want to build this DR server by restoring from an Ignite backup made by the live server. The DR server does not have a tape device of any sort. With this in mind, I was hoping to restore over the network. I have read articles about the make_net_recovery command but am not entirely clear on how I should use it in this scenario.
I thought I needed to direct the Ignite backup to a designated directory on the live server then export this directory. I then hoped to restore across the network to the DR server
I suppose I am after confirmation of this procedure as I have not found anything conclusive on the HP web site thus far.
Many thanks.

Re: Using IgniteUX to build DR server
I suggest the following:
Set up an Ignite server on site with access to adequate NFS space. Configure it to receive make_net_recovery images. Those can be started on the servers being backed up and directed to an NFS share.
Then Take the configuration of the Ignite server and replicate the entire server again via make_net_recovery, building your DR server.
Then ship the DR server to the DR site.
After that, all you need to do is make sure the contents of the NFS share and configuration changes are sent to the DR site on a regular basis.
No tape required.

I will look through the documentation.
