Using Make_recovery and no tape drive

I am looking at the Instant Ignition feature 'make recovery' to prepare for DR.
It works fine on one system we have, but another one does not have a tape drive
installed.
Are there ways of utilising the tape drive from one system to create the
necessary tape from the other?
Both are K420's - identical specification other than the tape drive.
Ideas - positive and negative - appreciated.

Make_net_recovery should be able to do what you need. man make_net_recovery
will give you the basics.
