Using nettladm

HP-UX 11.23 PA-RISC

Trying to use nettladm for the first time:

root> /opt/nettladm/bin/nettladm &
[4] 12363
root>
[4] + Stopped (tty output) /opt/nettladm/bin/nettladm &

What might I being doing wrong? I've exported my display, and have an X server running on my local PC.

Re: Using nettladm

Can not see any problem with your command. Works as expected on my 11.23 PA-RISC. Try something simple like /usr/bin/X11/xclock without putting it in background and see if it works. If it fails you should see the error message.

If I had to guess, your local X server may be denying access.

Re: Using nettladm

Hi Shaw,

Depends on your requirement, you can make use of the various tools part of nettladm. For analysing the nttl trace file you may use the netfmt command.

thanks
