Using NFS for EVA4400 storage
I have hp-ux 11.31 and EVA4400 storage system. Our applications consultant wants to mount eva storage using nfs and carry out the installations using nfs.
Please advice with step by step commands to achieve this.

Re: Using NFS for EVA4400 storage
Hi,
the EVA is not a NFS Filer, it is an Fibrechannel Disk array. You can present LUNs via fibrechannel using Command View.
After that follow the procedure for creating a Volume Group
http://docs.hp.com/en/B2355-90672/ch03s10.html
After completing this you can mount the filesystem.
If you need to export the filesystem via nfs you will need to configure the nfs server.

Re: Using NFS for EVA4400 storage
Shalom,
For best performance on an EVA a system should be connected by fiber, presented disk as a LUN and use it that way.
Can you use a Unix server as an NFS server, sharing EVA storage? Yes. But your performance will be limited by network band width. It is far from an ideal way to do things.
man /etc/exports
That will tell you how to set up an NFS share.

Re: Using NFS for EVA4400 storage
Are you referring to the EVA4400 NAS option that comes with NFS using built in blades?
