Using The Extract Utilty in MeasureWare

First, Happy New Year to you all.

I'm trying to use the extract utility to create at spreadsheet file I can export. I want to report the average figures for each day over a month period for the metrics I have laid out in my report file.

If I set the summary to 1440 minutes will this give me a daily average or a one off daily reading? If I want an average do I have to export all my information (current summary set to default of 60) and run an average command within my spreadsheet package or can an average be gained before exporting?
