uucp command

My application is interacting with another application via uucp. Now the interface with other application system is going to be removed. So i need to remove the details about the another system in my system so that it doesnt send/receive files to us. I am able to see a directory /etc/uucp and /usr/lib/uucp. There are a lot of file under it. Which file contain entries about other machines. What i need to remove the entries about the other machine.

Re: uucp command

Have not used uucp for so long! Can you try and edit your /etc/uucp/Systems file and then restart any uucpd daemon you may have running.
I think the /usr/lib/uucp file is just a softlink.

Re: uucp command

I am not aware of this uucpd daemon. I did a ps -eaf | grep -i uucp. I didn't get any output. Also when i tried to view /etc/uucp/systems file it's giving permission denied. Also owner of the file of systems is uucs and group is daemon

ll /etc/uucp
