UUCP over TCP
Has anyone successfully set up UUCP over TCP on 11i ? The documentation is sketchy; the only reference I can find regarding TCP is in the /etc/uucp/Devices file where reference is made to 'THE BUILT IN FUNCTIONS'.
However if I attempt to set up a system connected by TCP uucico reports :
cliff: # mchFind called (pierre)
list (rmail) num = 1
name (pierre) not found; return FAIL
list (rmail) num = 1
name (OTHER) not found; return FAIL
_Request (FALSE), _Switch (TRUE), _CallBack (FALSE), _MyName (), _Commands rmail
chdir(/var/spool/uucp/pierre)
conn(pierre)
Device Type TCP1 wanted
Requested Device Type Not Found
getto ret -1
Call Failed: NO DEVICES AVAILABLE
enter ub_sst, status is : 1
Rmtname: pierre
exit code 101
Conversation Complete: Status FAILED
TM_cnt: 0
The Devices entry is :
TCP1 - - - TCP
The Systems entry is :
pierre Any TCP1 nuucp pierre in:--in nuucp word: xxxxxx
Any ideas gurus ?
