Hello,
I installed and used DRD on a 11.23 and rx8640. Then I took an image of that system and used the image to install another rx8640 (with disks on other paths).
When I try to see the status of the DRD on the new system I get:
"ERROR: Retrieval of DRD registry data fails.
- Validating the DRD registry fails.
- The device special file "/dev/dsk/c4t6d0" cannot be identified in the system configuration information."
Removing the DRD software and reinstalling it didn't help.
Any clues?

Re: Validating the DRD registry fails
Hello Mugur -
Yes, you do need to remove the drd registry file, /var/opt/drd/registry/registry.xml on the new system. On the new system, you don't have actually have a DRD clone at all - just the original boot disk.
We are documenting this restriction in our new "Exploring Rehosting" whitepaper, due to be available on the DRD web site http://docs.hp.com/en/DRD soon. In addition, we are looking for ways to make the messages provides by drd status command more useful.
You mentioned "taking an image of the system". - Do you mean you created a DRD clone, or that you created an Ignite recovery image. We are just curious about the ways system admins are using the products.
Thanks,
Judy
