Re: VDisks, presented from EVA are see as UNCLAIMED UNKNOWN hsx
Without data from your command, please consider the following:
Systems without LUN0 assigned sometimes pick up the disk array as a disk, and then its not a disk, this triggers an error message.
Assigning a LUN as LUN0 eliminates this issue.
This condition can result from improper zoning of the SAN, leading other systems disks to be detected.
Can I get a look at the ioscan output?

Re: VDisks, presented from EVA are see as UNCLAIMED UNKNOWN hsx
# ioscan -fn
hsx is the secure path driver, once removed you will see the device as UNCLAIMED UNKNOWN until the next boot - then it will disappear.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: VDisks, presented from EVA are see as UNCLAIMED UNKNOWN hsx
"hsx driver├в An array-specific driver that provides paths from an HBA driver
for specific arrays up to the swsp driver. This driver manages the separate
paths to a LUN and encapsulates array-specific knowledge, such as specific
commands to migrate a LUN from one controller to the other. The hsx
driver supports HP StorageWorks HSG and HSV controllers"
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: VDisks, presented from EVA are see as UNCLAIMED UNKNOWN hsx
Looks like a partial removal only to me, since the hsx driver is still there.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: VDisks, presented from EVA are see as UNCLAIMED UNKNOWN hsx
# swlist
and lets see what is there.
Maybe we try some other swlist commands like
# swlist -l product
or
# swlist -l bundle
later.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
