Veritas Netbackup ans ServiceGuard

Greetings Netbackup and ServiceGuard experts. I have a simple question for you.

If I have a 2 node Service Guard cluster and would like to install Veritas Netbackup 6.5.xx on one of the nodes ... does it require me to install the software on the second node ....

I am being told that it will detect the cluster and try to install to both nodes in the cluster.

hi,

in our netbackup configuration, we have 2 node MCSG cluster and each cluster node is a media server, without any clustering. OF corse we are running Netbackup 6.0 without any problem.

We were told that if the media server was installed on a Service Guard Cluster then the install script wants to install on both servers ...I was checking to see if this is true

ok we installed netbackup before the MC serviceguard was installed, but i thhink the Netbackup is independent on the Cluster SW from HP.
