Veritas Netbackup : which tape mounted?

hi,

how can I detect which tape is currently loaded in a standalone tape drive?

thanks in advance,
netbackup newbie :(
All unix flavours are exactly the same . . . . . . . . . . for end users anyway.

Re: Veritas Netbackup : which tape mounted?

hi,

no knowledge of netbackup, but using mc command, you will also be able to tell which tape is currently loaded:

# mc -p DS

if the slot is EMPTY and drive, i.e. DT_slot_# is FULL, then the empty slot is where your tape comes from.

regards.

Thierry -
The netbackup activity monitor==> right click on the job==> open the details tab.
Should show you the tape # that was mounted and each successive tape if it is a multi tape backup.

Best regards,
