Veritas VM for HPUX

I know that LVM is built-in to HPUX 11.0 & 11i. Is Veritas VM (vxvm) also built-in or add on to this two version of HPUX 11.0 & 11i.
Where can I find instruction in how to activate vxvm? Thanks.

Re: Veritas VM for HPUX

You actually have to purchase this product. Contact your HP rep.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Re: Veritas VM for HPUX

Hi Fay,

VXVM is a priced product. Take a look at the thread for more info on VXVM

http://docs.hp.com/hpux/os/11.0/index.html#VERITAS%20Volume%20Manager

Hope this helps.

Re: Veritas VM for HPUX

I am sure that the referenced documents mention this, but in case
*other* people read this thread but not the documents:

The *Base* version of VxVM ("Volume Manager 3.1 for HP-UX (Base VxVM) [Base-VXVM]) *is* bundled with HP-UX 11i, i.e. you do not
have to buy that bundled Base version.
