Re: Veritas Volume Manager poor performance
have you tried the official documentation already:
Look here
http://docs.hp.com/hpux/11i/index.html
for the paragraph under "VERITAS Volume Manager", which leads you to:

Re: Veritas Volume Manager poor performance
Can you share some more info like across how many disks the strip is set, also if you are using mirror along with striping. What kind of application you are running on the strip disks. Are the applications read intensive or write intensive.

Re: Veritas Volume Manager poor performance
We have raised a support request and received the following answer from the support centre:-
"I have already followed up on another case
for CR JAGad97185 and JAGae14226 (11i) and I have been advised by our Expert
Centre and Labs that the decision was made not to backport an 11i (11.11)
interface to 11.0 and the change request has been closed."
We have requested a business escalation via our account manager I suggest you do the same in order to get the 11i patch backported to 11.00
The change that affected the performance of VxVM was introduced by patch PHKL_20759 which is a critical patch. (I.E. Required to be supported)
Any support from large HP account holders would be greatly appreciated.
