veritas volume manager
Does this comes with HP-UX 11i v2 or is this a licensed product? Because in HP site it showa under "ALWAYS INSTALLED" product

Base VxVM is a part of the OS. It is installed but you don't have to use it.
There are optional producs such as mirroring for non-rootvg and clustering that is named similar but requires licensse activation and is not always installed.

Hi,
As mentioned earlier base version of Veritas Volume Manager is free and is distributed with new releases of HPUx.
But if you need to have any additional features which are not there in base bundle, you need to get a license for that feature. The options are full Vxvm,Online JFS, fast resync etc.
