veritas volume manager

how to configure veritas volume manager?
when i am trying to run veritas volume manager from sam it ask for host userid and password when i give this it gives error start vmsa_server&.pl. give me the solution

Hi,

What is the OS & VxVM Version you are working on. You can run it from /opt/VRTS/bib/vea itself is it is VxVm version 3.5 instead of using SAM.

Also /opt/VRTSob/bin/vxsvc should running.

we r first time configuring veritas volume manager and our os is hp-ux B11.11 U,and veritas volume manager version is 3.2,so how to configure this
