After 4 years, my computer is responding very slowly. How can I make it run faster. Thanks

Need a little more information sir, make, model O/S and O/S level to begin with. Use 'uname -a' and attach for this. Also please attach:

'top' report
sar -v 5 5
sar -u 5 5
sar -d 5 5
vmstat 5 5
swapinfo -tam

Is PC or HP Server?

Give it longer legs or buy it some new faster shoes. Maybe have a computer bigger than it start chasing it.

Without a whole lot more information it's going to be hard to give you a more serious answer.

If its an HP-UX box, try this script. It is a configurable, background performance data collection script. You set the measurement period.

If its a PC, buy some more memory and have a nice day. Thats the best bang for your buck.
