vgchgid problem

Hi I'm trying to run vgchgid against the BCV devices and getting the following errors,

vgchgid: physical volume "/dev/rdsk/c6t3d6" and "/dev/rdsk/c6t3d7" do not belong
to the same volume group.

But these BCV devices are attached to the standard devices that are on the same volume group. Any ideas? Earlier it worked fine.

Re: vgchgid problem

Hi!

You should check if both disks hold the same VGID, e.g. using

"echo 0d8208?DY" | adb /dev/dsk/cXtYdZ

Re: vgchgid problem

Try giving the names of all raw PV's that belong to one VG , in one command string with vgchgid .
