vglock migration

I am migrating a serviceguard cluster to new storage.  I am a little confused on the vglock procedure.  Do I need to first vgextend the vglock volumegroup with the new device and then vgreduce the old device before I make the change to the cluster config file?  I don't see any reference to modification of the vglock volume group before changing the cluster reference in other documents.

Forgot to mention is is 11.31 OS running Serviceguard 11.20.

I was able to use vgextend/vgreduce on vglock successfully.
