Virtual partitions - console problem

Hi,

I have one N4000 with 2 proc's, two nic's, two serial ports, 2 vpar's. Is it possible to give each vpar one port? The hardware path's are:

tty 0 0/0/4/0
tty 1 0/0/5/0

I guess it's not possible, because the belong to the same pci bus, but what solution is there then for serial/console access?

Regards,

Leon

Hi, Leon!

That's not possible, but it's not needed either. Your standard console path is grabbed by the vpmon and by pressing ctrl-a you get into the vpmon's menue which allows you to select what partition's console you want to attach to.

Thanks! This just saved a lot of money on serial boards.
