Virtual Server Environment on HP Integrity rx3600

Hi,
I have the following HPUX funning on my HP rx3600 server:
HP-UX B.11.23 U ia64 2698233973 unlimited-user license

I want to install an expansion of the basic Unix operating system (HP-UX ) using VSE (Virtual Server Environment) of HP such that these servers can virtually host the Windows operating system as a guest under Unix.
Is it possible to make this configuration on this version of HP-UX?

Thank you.

Yes, this should work under HPVM.

Re: Virtual Server Environment on HP Integrity rx3600

Yes, you can.
You need to purchase HP Integrity Virtual Machine software (A.3.50) and install that onto your server.
Using that software you can create Virtual Machines, then install WIndows 2003 server Enterprise Edition (IA 64 bit)

See:

Just out of curiosity.

Why use such an expensive solution ( IA64, HPUX server and IVM ) just to support Windoze and Linux ?

Because Integrity servers are big iron and support 100s of Gb and 100s of CPUs and you can consolidate them on one box??

Re: Virtual Server Environment on HP Integrity rx3600

Thank you for your informations.
I want to install both HPUX and Windows 64 bit in the same machine, so not to use another machine for Windows, thus reducing hw cost.
