Virtual system network problem.

Virtual system network problem.

We've built a virtual system, which has a strange problem. The system is built in a normal way with a network card assigned to it. But when sending files to this system, it can only be pulled from this system instead of pushing to it. For example, when pulling a file from this system, it takes about 2 minutes to finish the job while pushing it, it takes forever. (at least 5 hours) We check the net work and didn't see any thing wrong with it.

Re: Virtual system network problem.

Any errors in the syslog? It may help to turn on logging for the ftp daemon. This will create the "xferlog" file in the /var/adm/syslog directory which may be useful for troubleshooting this problem. See the manpage of xferlog(5) for details.

Re: Virtual system network problem.

I would suggest you provide some more details, such as what OS version you are using, how the virtual system and network are configured, how is the physical network card that is used byh the virtual system configured/connected.
What about the network transfers on the host server? are they ok?
